Mark Allan Kaplan, Ph.D. is a multi-domain creative expressionist and lived inquirist.
Mark's lived-inquiry quest for meaning and expression has taken him through the domains of art, photography, architectural design, cinematic media, spirituality, consciousness studies, psychology, poetics, and deep self-inquiry. On this quest, Mark has studied with many great teachers and mentors; earned advanced degrees and certifications in the fields of creative expression, cinematic media, and transpersonal psychology; published seminal research on the transpersonal dimensions of the cinema and the experience of divine guidance across religious traditions and cultures; and worked in the entertainment industry as a motion picture producer, writer, director, editor, researcher, and consultant. Mark's creative works have received numerous awards and honors, and have been exhibited in schools, colleges, festivals, conferences, expositions, theaters, and broadcast media around the world.
